Meta Ray-Ban Display is the first mass-market smart glasses with a built-in display.

In addition to supporting the audio, capture, and AI use cases of Ray-Ban Metas, messages, calls, notifications, responses, maps, and other interfaces are projected into the right eye lens. It uses the Meta Neural Band for navigation and text input.

I led the Inputs / Outputs team (35 designers), who designed the hardware and light interactions, the interaction model for the capacitive touch temple arm, the design system and components, and creative and technical art for Hypertrail, the Neural Band game.

The team not only developed a multi-platform design system from the ground up, but due to the additive-light display, had to make it visible and readable overlaid on the physical world.

Meta Ray-Ban Display launched to critical and public success at Connect 2025. It was named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2025 and represents Meta's first consumer-ready step towards augmented reality glasses.
