Portal TV was part of Facebook's second generation of Portal devices, bringing high-quality AI video calling to the largest display in the home.

I led the Portal design team (35 designers), who designed the operating system, apps, smart camera, augmented reality stories, and hardware interactions for Portal TV. I led the program from the product discovery phase through launch.

The team worked tirelessly to create a consistent experience across a TV market that is highly fragmented and outdated due to long replacement lifecycles.

Portal TV became the best-selling version of Portal and expanded the market to smaller homes, where countertop space may be minimal.
